It seems to me that right after the fall of, or as Parenti calls it, "the overthrow of" Communism, the US/NATO's next plan after attacking Iraq in '91, was to go after Yugoslavia, then one by one take out all of the former Soviet-friendly states, like Libya and Syria, meanwhile bring into NATO all of the Eastern Bloc countries to encircle Russia. The same is true of China, it's being encircled from all sides with Japan, the Philippines and Vietnam gearing up for a Pacific war. And Iran is already surrounded by hundreds of bases, in addition to Diego Garcia to its south in the Indian Ocean. This is what they call: FULL-SPECTRUM DOMINANCE. You're either our bitch, or you're a dead bitch.
