If I remember correctly, before he unleashed his cheap, brylcreme conservatism on the UC system (the tearing down of the communal "Peoples' Park" in Berkeley), he was head of the Actors' Guild where he - along with many others - participated in "naming names" -- basically condemning Jews for being "Communists" during the dark days of Joe McCarthy and his 'Kapo' lawyer, Roy Cohen. He also dumped funds from Social Security (yes, that's why were fucked!) into the market, making the rich richer and the poor homeless and insane. But mostly, he should be remembered for the his murder spree in Latin America: Panama, Colombia, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, were he supported the most fierce right-wing governments (each with their own death squads) against the democratically elected governments of some those countries. It was under Reagan's watch that Omar Torrijos of Panama was killed. And it was also Reaganomics that killed the middle class. To be fair though, he was just a front, a malleable mouth piece for daddy Bush and his posse. Also, let us not forget the rise of the Christian Right and the "Moral Majority?" Yes, we will be paying for all of "Cowboy" Ronnie's doings and un-doings for decades to come.
