Agreed. And anyone with basic knowledge of Qur'an and Islam knows that it's not a blood thirsty religion. Sure, Muhammad and his followers fought but they were clearly defending themselves. The Quran doesn't even allow the killing of animals unless it is for food or some kind of necessity. You can't just shoot a skunk because you don't like it. So either Hitchens is ignorant of Qur'an or he's just a liar. If Islam was really this violent then why weren't Muslims doing that centuries ago when there was no America or UN? It is only now. The Turks had 700 years to do it and the Arabs in Spain had 800 years. In India they had 900 years and they were reading Qur'an. Did they all miss it? --------------------- |
