...their interest in parochial education has nothing to do with religious beliefs, or Faith, or "morality" and nothing at all with actual education, in Enlightenment terms, but everything to do with generations of kids who will disdain knowledge and science and most of all, a reliance on human Reason and the intellect, in favor of superstition from the Bronze Age because these sorts of people are pliable and maleable and easily led and the more fantastic the claims, either religious or politcal/economic, the more fervent these people get because they value faith far above personal responsibility and working for what you need and also actually learning how things work...that's their goal, not educating children to value Reason and seek knowledge.
