I also grew up with an eclectic taste in music and cinema. "They got the guns, but we got the numbers" -- Mr. "Mojo" Morrison. But we live under capitalism and everything is for sale. I find it so ironic that "Che", the anti-Capitalist revolutionary has now become a huge commodity. His image is one of the most profitable products these days. 60's rock rebels like the Stones, are now part of the English establishment (Sir. Mick?) I always loved Keith for the reason that he didn't give in to the bullshit title his buddy Mick accepted. Roger Waters, bassist and lyrisist of Pink Floyd is another one who's kept it real. I just saw him perform "the wALL" concert last week and the man is incredible. He's updated his wALL concert by incorporating the present political turmoil, like the illegal war in IraQ. And he didn't back down when Abe Foxman of the ADL accused him of being an anti-Semite because during one of his songs an animation projected on the wall had a fighter plane dropping bombs which morphed into crucifixes, the star of David and the dollar sign. In the early eighties, I was really inot the political San Francisco punk band, Dead Kennedys. Their shows were mostly free or maybe cost $3. Now, wannabe punk bands charge anywhere from $20 to $60 for their shows. It's a whore's game.. no disrespect to whores, at least they're real about what they do.
