I thought you would appreciate this quote out of the report, most of all:
"If they were even more honest, the war lovers might quote George Kennan, the legendary State Department strategist, who wrote prophetically during the Cold War: “Were the Soviet Union to sink tomorrow under the waters of the ocean, the American military-industrial establishment would have to go on, substantially unchanged, until some other adversary could be invented. Anything else would be an unacceptable shock to the American economy.” 2 "
>...Sigh. Not only were mistakes NOT made...this recent "thawing out of military ardor" is nothing more than the yin of the yang, the natural and just-as-manufactured part of the war hunger...we HAVE to rest...we have to build back the credit we will need to borrow money for future wars.....the "reflection" is nothing more than the flip side of the declaration of wars......there is still nothing as profitable was war-making...nothing. And if Islam disappeared our government would just find another pretext...we can't afford PEACE, literally.
