amen to that....also, when politicians and taxi drivers and engineers are the ones pushing this debate, and not accredited historians, one can't help but suspect their motives...

You have to look to the totality a peoples past history to understand them, and not isolated incidents...the Turks were famous for practicing religious tolerance to the same degree the Christians were infamous for being murderously intolerant...therefore one or two lapses on the part of the Turks, or one or two acts of tolerance from Christians should not obscure the fact of what they really were: in the case of Muslims, TOLERANT...in the case of Christians, avowedly INTOLERANT.
