You're right. What you refer to as "hope" is one layer of a whole lot of gabbing and not much else. The beauty of using that word "hope" is that it fills the void of inaction so noticeable and glaring as it is and puts in its place what we in the legal biz call "precatory language." So you sound like you are doing something, anything, when in fact you are doing nothing.

No people "hope" toward their self-determination. Land is a finite commodity on this planet and with multiple, competing groups, it is a free-for-all situation at all times... That's what wars are for and if you happen to be elbowing within an existing nation-state, it's called a civil one.

The problem with Assyrians is manifold, but most pressing is that we need to get with the program and right-fast. It's the 21st century, lest we forget. We are dealing with issues/mistakes that have literally plagued us for at least 200 years (since our nakedness started to show): religious affiliation, tribal affiliation and this weird tribal/political melange issue mostly observed in the last 50 years.

If you want to be treated as a nation, then act like one. You want to be a nation, learn it, teach it. Short of that, there is no "hope"... We now have a new legion of bitches (and I do mean it in the derogatory sense and not against the kind to which my beautiful bichon frisee is a member) taking on the battle cry of stupidity.

I'm only glad that they are loud, obnoxious and have started early. Mark my words, they will be the new guard that will sell out of the nationalist agenda as soon as they find a new trend. I speak of the Gen Y of Zowaa retards that are so vocal and yet so inept.

I sometimes wish that I could just freeze, rewind, reorganize, replay some of our situations. I know, I know, I said "wish," not "hope."

On a side note:
Thanks Jeff et al. I'm glad to know that if/when I have the chance, there is always a forum that I can post to freely without fear of censorship. Did you guys know that at the mesopotamian forum the moderator deletes posts and marks them as "deleted by poster" rather than deleted by moderator? Disgusting.
