I agree, Islam, unlike Christianity, has not gone through a Reformation and Renaissance, and even though there is a disparity of 700 years, Christians kill from afar (as in the case of drone attacks perpetrated from Nevada upon the civilians of Pakistan)... so much for staring your enemy in the eye and not shooting him in the back. My contention with Iran is that it's supposed to be a revolutionary state, and yet, by hanging young boys for allegedly being gay completely contradicts revolutionary ideals.
