Since there's so much money involved in these programs, there has to be some results to keep the gravy train running. So when they realise that there is no potential danger, they create the bogeyman, the "terrorist" who almost blew up this place or that plane. And so far most of the terror suspects were framed and enabled by the same people and agencies that arrested them. As far as the NYPD, they, like the LAPD, or the Oakland PD, have a long history of racism and corruption. Frank Serpico left to Switzerland when he was just trying to be an honest cop in NY. There are many Serpicos, but not many who remain alive to tell their story to the Grand Jury. --------------------- |
