I think you watched the German film from 2004, "Der Untergang" ("Downfall") with the incredible, Bruno Ganz as Hitler (if you're familiar with German and European cinema of the 1970s, he's been in numerous great films, like "Der Amerkanische Freund" ("The American Friend" by Wim Wenders)... I saw it a few years back, but I don't remember them not showing Eva and Hitler's corpses, but I do recall the capsule scene with the little girl. As you know (or may not know) there are a lot of people who argue that Hitler and Eva did not commit suicide, but escaped through the Vatican "rat lines" to South America. So, perhaps the filmmaker was leaving it open to his audience to decide what actually happened. I should watch it again... but it's such a dark, morbid film. Definitely not a date movie... unless you're dating a German nihilist.
