I tell my co-workers how my mother was a housekeeping worker in Germany and made 3 times more than what we making today, yet she worked less hours per week. I tell them she got 6 weeks paid vacation, annual bonuses, travel money etc and they said that sounds like socialism and they say that people over there must be lazy. Why does one have to be lazy to demand decent wages and have rights as a worker? I have worked 2 jobs most of my working career so how is lazy for me to want such basic things. How is it lazy to want free education so one can better himself and get a better job. They are all hardcore Christians too and one of them thought I was crazy for saying I would rather wanna be poor in Germany than over here because at least I could go to school and better myself. I don't have to worry about being homeless or nothing. These dumb Americans also think that people over there must be lazy but they be shocked to learn that they have higher production rates there and lower unemployment rates. More people take welfare over here than there even though the benefits in western Europe are much better.

I agree that religion plays a big role in that and I think the reason Europeans wouldn't put up with this kind of shit is because they are mostly a non-religious society. I met a couple of Slovaki girls the other day and they were on vacation for 1 month. They couldn't believe it when I told them we don't get one month vacation in America every year. You be lucky to get one week after one full year and that money would be used to pay bills or else you be homeless. I think maybe certain managers get those kind of benefits here whereas in Germany, France, etc it is federal law and all workers are entitled to that. I just don't see how that can be seen as lack of freedom, being lazy or anything bad. I guess it is freedom to work for 7.50 an hour, be homeless or always be from check to check. I never saw a single pawn shop in Germany, let alone those pay day loan type places but here they are all over and they booming too because there will always be success as long there is poverty and broke people living check by check.

They can call me crazy if they like, but Iraq before the war in 1991, was much better than this and people had better lives compared to America. Americans somehow think Iraqis had it bad until now. I remember filling out an application at this staffing agency last year and a Persian woman was in there also looking for a job. She put on her application that she spoke Farsi and the office women were dumbfounded and never heard of it. So I said that's the language of Iran and the office bitch asks me where I am from. She then wanted my opinion about the war and I spoke in favor of Saddam and she goes "but yeah he was a dictator and I can't imagine much good when people are being constantly butchered in teh streets or being told what to do". I swear on my dignity, I wanted to spit in her face but I barely controlled myself. This bitch don't even know where Iraq is or what language is spoken there, uses toilet paper to clean her arse but she knows Saddam was a dictator and that people were being "butchered" in the streets. My mother lived in Iraq most her life and never saw any of that and my racist Christian relatives all hate Muslims but never seen anything like that either.

So the only way Americans say that is because they heard it from TV and nothing else. It's just like this ass in my speech class in college made his topic in favor of the Iraq invasion of 2003. My speech was against by coincidence so it turned out to be a debate. He said in his speech that Saddam was an extremist and forced women to wear all black etc. All this is like a joke to me and I can't help but to sound arrogant when I say these motherfuckers are not on my level. I can't be in the same room with someone beneath me intellectually and I don't mean if they are simply ignorant yet willing to learn. These people are ignorant plus arrogant on top of it. This is why they get cussed out by me and I can't help it.
