...can you imagine how much money in salaries and drugs would be lost if they did find a cure for cancer? Unless they made sure to make the cure as expensive or more than everything else they've been profiting from.

Another thing Lenin didn't have to pinpoint, but got spot balls on with his famous observation about capitalists supplying the rope for their own hanging for a buck, we have as evidence the private prison industry which makes money only if there are people to lock up, and hopefully lots of them....can anything be more insane for a culture than to seek to profit from CREATING prisoners?

That "papers please law" in Arizona was pushed by two close aids to the governor who turned out to have a stake in a private prison company which would house all those jailed for lack of proper documentation....not to forget the two Pennsylvania judges now sentenced to prison for having accepted kick-backs in the hundreds of thousands from another private prison business for incarcerating teens....the business model for a civil government is a recipe for disaster...and what would you call this.....?
