The Inquisition also was never part of the bible....as Hitchens said, the worst thing Christianity ever did was align itself with the Old Testicles where there are listed many barbaric acts and calls to genocide etc....at least these dont appear in the Quran.

People do savage things and they especially like to have a religious excuse for their barbarity...that and control of populations is the reason religion is so popular with countries and governments.
