Website title: Document Has Moved

I keep watching old, pre-Neocon Hitchens' clips and lectures. What an amazing thinker; and what an amazing waste. Gore Vidal, who's lectures I watch quite frequently, prior to his death, wanted Hitchens to be his "heir". But the old man changed his mind --- before 9/11 --- claiming that he's "not going anywhere"... yet. And then, it happened. The potential heir to Vidal sold out for thirty pieces of silver... and like the mythical Judas who hanged himself, Hitchens slowly died of throat cancer; which, in symbolic terms was an attack, ironically, on his voice and his primary/secondary weapon (writing and lecturing). I'm not superstitious, but sometimes I guess one can say that poetic justice was served... although, I wish that he was still alive, with his family and caring friends. Who knows, perhaps after some time, Hitchens would realize his mistakes and may be ask for a... Scotch and a cigarette. Oh, well. Thanks to the internet, for the images of the debate.
