I was reading the Wikipedia page on Iran's Ali Khamenei and down the first paragraph I read this: "In 2015, an open letter to President Barack Obama from a nephew of Ali Khamenei stated that Khamenei is practicing the Shia doctrine of taqiya in which it is permissible for Muslims to lie to infidels,[13] and in late 2015, Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said that Khamenei previously pursued weapons of mass destruction.[14][15][16][17]"

But if you look down the page at the four sources provided, they're from Breitbart, Reuters, i-24 news, and ibtimes, all four are right wing news sites. So, I still don't know whether taqiya is real or not... I highly doubt that the man's nephew and his right hand man who promoted him to be the Supreme Leader, would say something like this.
