...I never knew what a heroic leader he was and what an honorable man. When he took back Jerusalem from the Christians, he entered legend by protecting the lives of the Christians and allowing them to live in peace, even though they were the direct descendants of the Crusaders who first captured it and ruled it for 84 years...not allowing any Muslims to pray there or live there...

Instead of purifying the buildings with the blood of the defeated, which was the Christian way, he ordered his soldiers to clean with ROSE WATER.

He said that he had to teach the Christians by example that when you defeat a people, you spare their lives, and try to conduct yourself so as to bring honor to your religious beliefs.

Of course, you still FIGHT to rid your country of invaders....but you don't massacre men and women and children after you defeat their army.

He was truly a great man and warrior...you know, like many the Assyrians had.
