Britain suffered major defeats at the hands of the Ottomans....

"Murray's two defeats lead Sir Mark Sykes (one of the authors of the Sykes-Picot Treaty, mine)to worry that the Turks...might retaliate against the Jewish, Arab, and Armenian populations whose support he had been enlisting on behalf of the Allies. He cabled the Foreign Office suggesting that Britain should nto go forward with Zionist, Arab, and Armenian projects so long as they exposed these peoples to jeopardy. His suggestion met with no response." p290

...what did our dummies expect? They took sides with the country attacking their own, because it was Christian and might feel sorry enough for them etc. When the Brits came forming the assyrian Levies my grandfather warned that we should not betray Iraq, which had just taken us in, by fighting for the hated Britiah...but we did it. We ALWAYS do it...and then the Tacos come back and say.."are you saying WE are at fault"?

No...it's never YOU...it's always someone else.

...where's Taco? What happened to being STRONG?
