...we too have children it seems...the children of Assyria. And like any child they like what tastes good and dislike what doesn't. Their "feelgoodfeelings" is the only criteria they respect...if it pleases them and flatters them and plays into their prejudice...it's GOOD....anything that upsets their tummy is BAD...this is the main reason we have no grown-ups capable of seriously studying history: because it hurts their feelings. There is disagreement in the field...naturally....but it requires even more study and thought....for every historian you like there will be one you won't like...so it's best not to get too convinced by anyone...
