It's one thing to say, as all the other forums do, that you respect free speech as the main bulwark of Democracy...that every person is entitled to the right to express themselves freely without having to look over their shoulder etc etc. Hell, why not go a step further, as we do, and allow people to insult each other all they want to...they'll soon grow tired of it and want some content instead. The beauty of such freedom is that it produces it's own self-banning system. The right people soon discover that the views they hold are filled with holes, shot through with flaws and inconsistancies and when they can no longer maintain the fight, they go away...all on their own, without you having to sully yourself by self-righeously getting rid of them. It's all so neat and clean.

And then we've had a few, like minimie/Andreas who gave up on substance but refuse to go away...which is even better because their continued snippiness, their feeble attempts at provoking a response by snapping and yapping only reconfirms what sort of forum this is. The others use "insults" as a pretext to ban what they don't like to hear...they feel "insulted" when you challenge them. We, on the famous other hand, welcome all challengers and will even settle, if we have to, for insults...I mean real ones. If a person can't give a decent argument he favors us still by hanging on our every word and "insulting" us...or whatever.

To every accusation that we are just like Hitler, we point out that Hitler wouldn't stand for an open forum...neither would any of the "polite" moderators. The greater the attempt to denigrate or use sarcasm, witless poetry, all of it is most appeciated and as sacred as the best these sorts could do, the better for us...the more honest we become. Maybe it IS their best, who knows. Whatever it is, it's of immense value for it provides a daily reminder, with each new yap, that this place is indeed what it says it is....it is a free and open forum that allows anyone to say anything...anything at all.

That's all we set out to do...the rest is up to anyone who cares.
