...this is the main charge leveled against Rationalists, by which I mean those who refuse the label "atheist" as giving religion still too much power. The charge is that without a god and a bible, people wouldn't know what was right or wrong...that we'd go first one way and then another with no fixed and immutable point of reference.

...well, God, meet Georgia. Religious folk have been fulminating against Gays to the point of nausea...their legislature finally managed to pass a bill on to the governor that has no other purpose than to punish Gays and make their lives that much harder...and then, what happened? Did the governor rush to sign this bill into law? No. He vetoed it, rejecting "God and his immutable moral code"...The governor turned "Moral Relativisit" in a big way, abandoning his God's views on the moral wrong that is homosexuality.

..so, who shifts with each wind? Who doesn't seem to hold steady and true to his moral principles? Christians that's who...bible humpers who saw a looming loss of revenue in Georgia and forgot all about the bible and Revelations and the rest of that "relative" shit.

...we're told on the one hand that God's commandments and laws are unchangeable and eternal while on the other hand we see plain as day that almost all of the laws and rules and commandments have been modified drastically or dropped altogether...to smooth this over we are told that religion "evolves"...that religious folk "learn and grow with history".....sure they do.
