...yet more appeal to Obama to "save' Assyrians...

Help indigenous Assyrians gain autonomy

Target:The Honorable President Barack H. Obama

Sponsored by: Ramiz G. Mirza- Assyrian Activist

We the undersigned, respectfully request that the Assyrians receive autonomy on the basis that they are the indigenous people of Iraq.

...he can stop right there...this is what I meant by opinions parading as facts. It is our own foolish belief that because WE say we are the indigenous people of Iraq, that we therefore are. And when you add the belief that "only Christians can be real Assyrians", you completely lose any sane person you might encounter.

The Assyrians have been persecuted for centuries up until the present time.

...another opinion passing for fact. People like presidents and and prime ministers do not make policy, unless it suits them, based on the opinions of such as we...if we have a claim we must PROVE it...not just SAY it! But, it pleases US so much just to talk and yap, that this is all we care about...TALK is our natiopnality. There is no evidence that Assyrians ARE Assyrians...and no proof that they have been persecuted when not PROsecuted.

The current war in Iraq has caused over five hundred thousand Assyrians to become refugees in neighboring countries under severe conditions. It is also worth noting that 40% of the Iraqi refugees are Assyrian, a very disproportionate number considering that before the latest war of Iraq Assyrians only made up 3.5% of Iraq or 1.5 million people. Please take this into consideration and help the Assyrian Nation gain autonomy, thank you.

...the one has nothing to do with the other...America caused countless misery to it's own indigenous people and never batted an eye. Claims of persecution do NOT qualify as grounds for seizing the homes of other people...we may think it worked in the case of the Jews but that was a very different situation, and if we persist in not recognizing those differences, then too bad for us that we continue to make such opportunistic fools of ourselves over this.

...we asked Mr Suave, most recently, to back up these claims of persecution and he couldn't do it, except to say that WHENEVER a Muslim fights back against the Christians raping him, his family and country, that Muslim is committing VIOLENCE and hence, any injury suffered by his attacker is proof of the inherrent PERSECUTION built into and mandated by Islam.

...not a great people but a silly peeple.
