...we've been here before. First out and out Communists were targeted in the US...soon after that they went after what they called "fellow-travelers" or "commie sympathizers". These were catch-all phrases which in reality meant anyone critical of US government policies..or pro-union. Anyone whose politics you didn't like could be accused of being a commie-lover. During the Vietnam War it was the same..if you criticized the war you were giving "aid and comfort" to the enemy....

...soon enough you will become a "terror-lover" or a friend to terrorism if you dare criticize American government policy...and since the war on terror is everywhere in the world and since it is a war forever, you may find yourself liable to prosecution just for airing your views against such wars.

We hear so much now about ISIS recruiting American and British citizens to fight in their war....what's all this about? A happy result will be that government can "look closely at" anyone who MIGHT be sympathetic to their goals, as a "potential recruit"...all an effort, like so many before, to silence criticism and get us all "on the same page", while manufacturing an excuse to punish dissent.
