I came across a book titled "Science Under Islam" which is written by a professor of computer science at the University of Keele. I want to quote something I found interesting and fascinating. Although I have heard such comments being made by scholars during lectures and on history shows or read other books, I always find this interesting and a great time in history. Here is a quote from the author's book :

"Within 200 years of the death of Prophet Muhammad, book industries and libraries were established in ever corner of the Muslim world. In the middle otf the 13th century, there were 36 libraries(apart from Al Hikma)in Baghdad alone. The place abounded with authors, copiers, illuminators, librarians, collecters, buyers and sellers of books. Readers, who could borrow books, came from all classes of society and from all religious affiliations. Some libraries were royal, some public, some private and some specialised. Books sold in one book store alone had more than sixty thousand titles ranging over many subject categories, including: language and caligraphy, Christian and Jewish scriptures, the Quran and commentaries, histories, government works, court accounts, pre-Islamic and Islamic poetry, Muslim schools of thought, biographies of the men of learning, Greek and Islamic philosophy, mathematics, astronomy, medicine, literature, popular fictions, travel(to India, China and Indochina), magic and fables. Although compiled later, the Fables of the THousand and One nights(also called the Arabian nights)depict that period.

"Many scholars themselves, such as Kindi, funded intellectual works(of philosophers, scientists, translators, doctors and poets). Most of the translaters of Greek books were Christians but most of the philosophers were Muslims. Some doctors were Christians but many more were Muslims. The search for knowledge under Islam was conducted together by Muslims alongside Christians, Jews, Hindus and Zoroastrians. This was unparalleled in the history of any other religion, and has only been equaled in the modern secular time. If you were of a great family, you had to go for scholarship that was the social norm. (quote from the book titled 'Science Under Islam').

I find the above mentioned achievements very facinating and it shows that people were able to live and proper together as humans without having to become secular or atheists in order to do so. Unfortunately, Islam is always painted in a different way and is never given credit that it deserves. Clowns like Fred Aprim talk about how "brutal" Islam has been to the "Christian Assyrians" and loves to bring up 1915 or 1933. How about being honest for once and coming forward and admitting that great things were achieved during the Islamic era by Muslims, Christians, Jews and others together as humans. This success was made possible because it is encouraged by Islam and Muslims are obligated to seek knowledge. The author of the book further stated that the Muslims philophers of that time and the Khalefas were basing their works from the saying of Prophet Muhammad"

"Go as far as China to seek knowledge"
"scholars ink is holier than martyr's blood"
"he who pursues the road to knowledge, God will direct him to the road to paradise"
"the brightness of a learned man to that of a mere worshipper is like that of of the full moon compared to that of all the stars"
"obtain knowledge; its possesor can distinguish right from wrong, it shows the way to heaven"
"seeking knowledged is required of every Muslim"

These were the teachings of Muhammad(pbuh) and that is Islam. So while Jumblat makes Jihad or "strives" to smere Islam, authors, historians and the many scholars take time to remember the success that was achieved under Islam. Keep in mind that this success was taking place under Islamic sharia law which the modern Islam haters and propgandist smere and slander. Whenever Sharia is mentioned, they try to paint a picture of barbaric people with no electricity and hot water, but that is a bunch of crap. Islamic sharia is far from that and is nothing like the kafr governments of the modern "Islamic world" which will have their day, inshallah.

I am ready for cimpliments, attacks, insults and slanders or more lies. And Jumbo, go ahead and dig deep and find another case in Bangladesh or Egypt which you like to use as an attack against Islam while ignoring the stuff in your history, and not only done by ignorant Christians, but by the learned "men of church".
