....I have absolutely no interest in joining your editors...the best thing you have taught me was what I suspected and others already know; that Wikipedia is the last place any serious person would look for accurate information. You are so impressed with your wiki-ness, your wiki-templates, your wiki-teas that you miss the entire point of what accurate knowledge (not wiki-knowledge), reliable knowledge is about...no reputable encyclopedia uses amateur volunteers...much less do they depend on other amateur volunteers to check the accuracy of the first set of amateur volunteers. By the time someone contacts all of you and talks it over with you and has tea with all of you and learns your templates and reaches consensus with all of you, especially in areas where you are ignorant yourselves, the damage has been done...misinformation has been spread out there without your administration much giving a damn,..."we'll wiki-fix it later", is your attitude...not only has your horse left your barn, but you shot and killed it and THEN locked the door.

..this is an ideal location for pedants...in fact you define the word perfectly.
