...people who assume we went to Iraq to "win" or liberate anyone miss the point...which allows them to believe that serious mistakes were made in attainting this so-called policy. But that wasn't the goal or policy at all....there were many parts to it but victory or liberation wasn't one of them....the main reason was money, but right up therew as discredting the federal government...that's the reason inept party hacks were put in charge of so many things...so they'd screw up. That's why government waste was tolerated and even encouraged...because we are supposed to come away from the Iraq war even more convinced that things like Katrina relief as well as so many other scandals are a PART of government...the federal fovernment to be exact.

The root of all of this goes back to the Civil Rights movement which conservatives blame for wrecking their "State's Rights" santimony which allowed them to maintain segregation, primarily....but which also allowed white men to keep their women in place...to keep Gay people fearful and trapped and a whole lot of other things they enjoyed as their inalienable rights...and all of these were shattered and overthrown by the Federal government and our federal constitution, which trumps every state constitution...THAT'S the maninreason white conservative men have been so pissed for so long...it formed the core of conservative America's "Contract for America"...they came to Washington to ruin the federal government..to deliberately make it wasteful and irresonsible so that more and more Americans would believe that government is the PROBLEM...after which they shoved the MARKET down our throats as the only real solution to our woes...and that's exactly what Fascism is: when private business takes over government...like happened in Germany under Hitler, but was paid for and funded by private corporations who wanted to destroy the new Weimar Republic.

We're SUPPOSED to believe that Iraq failure is a result of mistakes, or bad management...nope. It is DELIBERATE mismanagement and waste...that's why they created Blackhawk and others...hoping we might be ready for an all private mercenary army...who get thousands more in pay and benefits than our soliders do and might get the kind of imunity to kill AND order weapons freely at whatever prices...you know, free-market democracy.

There were no "mistakes"...it was just bound to fail, but not until a few made billions and we lost even more faith in government...especially our Constitution which NOW is seen as a stumbling block to our
"security"...so we're happy to modify it and weaken it...it's pay-back for the Civil Rights Movement and women's rights and all those federal programs and laws and court cases which frustrated our southern, Christian, crackers.
