could they even run an autonomous region? Let's not be suicidal and say actual independent nation but could they run something like a Kurdistan? I don't believe they can and they lack the skills, understanding and means to do so. They have the nerves to compare themselves to Jews and Israel yet forget that Israel was achieved through violence and it is backed by corporations and huge industries such as Starbucks, Sears, Mccdonald's, Bill Gates etc etc. What do these nationalists have? armies? wealth? courage? and are those with comfortable lives in California or elsewhere willing to go back? or are even those in Baghdad and elsewhere in Iraq willing to go and live in desserts and villages around that "triangle"? these questions are too far ahead but let's just say they are jealous of one another, stab in the back, and can't agree on a leader. This is not a nation and they have nothing to do with ancients. They are bigoted xtians hiding behind a label they recently adopted for themselves with help of British.
