..never did like his smug attitude...couldn't understand what he was doing on NPR, but then NPR is very different than it was 10 or 15 years ago....gone are their hard-hitting documentaries....gone because of cutbacks and threats from the Right....now NPR is filled with "mind-power" shows and idiotic gurus of love and tax evasion etc. and still the Right is trying to kill it.

His comments were nothing more than the ever growing and acceptable bigotry of Christians....he said if he saw Muslims in Arabic "garb", meaning clothes, on an airplane he got justifiably nervous...that a BLACK MAN would make such racist comments is amazing...shows how desperate some Blacks are to pass for white, complete with a white man's reasoning power where race is concerned....it wasn't that long ago that whites were "justifiably" nervous if they saw a Black man with a white woman...or in a restaurant, or move into their neighborhood. Sure, property values went down whenever a Black family moved in, but that wasn't because of the Black family, but because of the racism of the Whites...and even if you claimed that Blacks were "just like that" and did act in ways and live in ways that brought down property values...who subjected Blacks to slavery, persecution enforced ignorance and economic marginalization for centuries...?

In the 1930s Christians felt "that way" whenever they saw a Jew....of course they justified their feelings to themselves...but it took the Holocaust for us to learn that their attitudes were based on their OWN lies and hatred and not on the objective reality Jews presented...and now the same lies and attitudes are being expressed towards Muslims.....

....Christians fear and hate Muslims for the same reason they feared and hated Blacks, because they KNEW what they had done to them, and were still doing...what they feared was the justifiable feelings of REVENGE they placed in every Black person's heart, only they couldn't admit that, so instead they blamed Afro-Americans for having "hostile feelings" towards Whites...just as now they blame Islam and Muslims for "hating our way of life" when what they hate is the fact that we have been killing innocent Muslims, based on admitted lies, for a few decades now.

Juan Williams deserved being fired...NPR has a right to choose the job requirements for working at their stations...and they have every right to crack down on bigots and racists...especially if they are Black and should know a hell of a lot better! It's instructive too that Fox immediately gave the guy a raise....obviously they like bigots.
