..okay, what does religion says about "why it is here in the first place"?

From what I can gather Gods made the universe for us humans to be at the center...and they made the earth so we could use every last part of it while we wait to get to heaven....in other words all this "stuff" was made with US in mind...is that about right?

Does that satisfy your "quest for meaning"? Does it satisfy your mind? Does it strike you as a satisfactory answer for the "great questions"?

...why exactly DID God create the universe? And how did you come by this knowledge of the secret workings and designs of that Great Being?
