On behalf of the Assyrian Aid Society - Santa Clara Valley Chapter,
I would like to post this update regarding the sculpture that was
donated by the Assyrian American Association of San Jose to the our
Chapter in April of 2001. This sculpture, a bust of King Ashrubanipal,
is in our possession and not as stated by Mr. Fred Parhad: "sitting on
a desk at (Jacklin Bejan's) office". (Jacklin Bejan is the president
of the Assyrian American Association of San Jose). This statue was to
be raffled by our chapter with the proceeds benefiting the Assyrian
people in our homeland. We have had to delay the raffle due to other
important matters that have required our immediate attention. The
raffle is now scheduled for the month of April and will be held during
an appreciation dinner for the supporters of our Chapter.

We at the Assyrian Aid Society are grateful for this generous gift and
our Chapter maintains very cordial relations and regular contact with
the Association and other Assyrian organizations in the Santa Clara
Valley area. We believe that honesty, respect, and cooperation are the key
elements in advancing the cause of our nation.

For further information please contact:

Respectfully,

Ramin Daniels
