++++Yes you do...the negative stuff I mean. It is a kind of reverse vanity in which ya gotta be good lookin or else what's the benefit of slamming yourself. I mean a trooly ugly person who knows it is hardly likely to run around saying "Oh boy, am I ugly"....or stupid or awkward...people who really are those things don't like drawing attention to the fact. The ones who aren't those things but don't like themselves for another reason need to be reassured so they tell people they are stupid and ugly just to hear..."OH no you are NOT!" That makes them feel better...for two seconds until they need another hit...SOMA.
SOMA was the drug in Huxley's "Brave New World". It made people feel good...or feel whatever they needed to feel. It is the short cut people take to get nowhere.
