: As the UK branch of the Assyrian Aid Society, we are writing to inform you of our forthcoming ‘Dinner & Dance’ party which is scheduled to convene at our Assyrian House on Saturday 3rd November 2001, from 8.00 PM onwards. All proceeds from the party will be sent to the Assyrian Aid & Social Society (Headquarters) in our homeland, Northern Iraq.

: The entertainers for the evening are the very talented and renowned Assyrian artists, Mr. Ogun Bet Shmouel from the U.S.A, Mr. Nawful Shamoun from Germany and our very own Mike T. from England. Tickets are priced at £15.00 each (food included) and will be sold on a first come first serve basis at the Assyrian House during the following dates:

: Tuesday 30th October from 8-10PM
: Wednesday 31st October from 8-10PM
: Thursday 1st November from 8-10PM

: Light refreshments will be available at the canteen – PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES – STRICTLY NO CHILDREN

: The Assyrian Aid Society is responsible for numerous projects, which lay the foundation and establish the infrastructure so that our Assyrian people remain within our ancestral homeland. It is the responsibility of Assyrians living in the west to support our people back home. We look forward to receiving your valued support.

: The Executive Committee,
: Assyrian Aid Society (UK Branch).

Is there a sizable population of Assyrians in the UK? Also, what is the Assyrian House?

Just curious since I'm working on a project which involves information about our community worldwide.
