In the first place you canīt tell the difference between Ashurnasirpal ar Ashurhaddon or Shalmanessar in the originals because there they DO have pretty much the same look. Itīs only through details and writing that you can tell them apart. My renditions were interpretations...every person in the Arts understands that. If you were to learn the names of each of the portraits I did and the faces that go with them...and knew what I look like...you would have no trouble telling one from the other and youīd know which one I was as well.
Nimrod doesnīt want me getting any press...his is so rotten. There could have been something truly outstanding in that display reflecting our culture, instead Nimrod, the AUA and Federation would prefer nothing go there, or else the usual...unless of course the usual is painted in purple and looks sad.
There are our leaders folks..not only did we never ask them or elect them, and not only do we keep trying to fire them...but they decide how we are to be shown to the outside world.
When once we get a decent alternative, one that actually knows how to get things done...Assyrians will come together to help it grow and succeed.
