: Man created God in his own image...any other interpretation is a slander on the Deity.
***How Freudian of you.
: Mark Twain said something like that. Come on canīt possibly believe any one set of people have their own personal whatever you want to call it up there, vying with the next tribe over the hill who have their own nut case up there on the other side of the clouds?
****There's an ultimate reality up there somewhere. We've just created manifestations of it in our cultures.
: Of course there is a spirtual aspect and great mystery to life...and thatīs what it has to remain because we canīt figure out how to balance a checkbook or work a VCR...we sure as hell arenīt fit to understand a true mystery like Creation...where it all comes from and where itīs all going.
****I agree, but realistically speaking, people will always wonder and try to answer thier questions.
: People are frightened by unknowns...thatīs why they ascribed a god to every thing they couldnīt explain, and back THEN, they couldnīt explain a whole lot.

: Itīs a mystery, okay? Just let it go at that and live a decent life WITHOUT taking "sides"...thatīs what gets people killing eacg otherīs babies.

***I agree with all of the above. Except for the part of letting go of the mystery. Embracing the mystery will bring you closer to living a decent life. It brings an appreciation of everything around you, which will then bring you to care for everythign around you which then brings you to care about environmental and human rights issues and other stuff.
