In the usually rambling and silly post about what Assyrians deserve in Iraq, Iīve lifted the last paragraph. If you bother to read it, just replace "Assyrian" with Christian, and youīll understand what this is all about. In the last paragraph he comes out and says what all these "Assyrians" really are wailing about...they want a Christian enclave in Iraq...NOW...surrounded by an increasingly hostile Muslim world driven to distraction by Israelīs crimes and foreign Christian intervention for the last 200 years.

The nice thing abut being fanatically Christian is that getting stomped on regularly is part of the appeal...which it never was with Assyrians...which these guys ainīt.

Their purpose is to get back a Christian corner...something they couldnīt dare come out and say...too silly. Instead they go through this laborious nonsense about how they are ASSYRIAN damn it, and MUST be given back "their" country...or maybe just a small part of it. There isnīt anything Assyrian about them...they are Christians through and through who use the Assyrian Heritage to lend some credence to an otherwise preposterous claim to a "small Christian corner".

A small corner of the boot is all these people have ever received...and itīs all they ever will receive...kiss ass as much as they might like.

To Assyrians, the issue is not whether Mr. Saddam Hussein has weapons of mass destruction, to Assyrians it is not an issue of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons in the hands of Mr. Saddam. Assyrians look at Mr. Saddam as an occupier even if all he has is a sling shot! The bottom line is that Assyria is under foreign occupation, and the only way Assyrians can achieve freedom is through liberating a small part of their ancestral homeland and establish their independent sovereign Assyrian state. It doesn’t have to cover all of the Assyrian homeland, but enough to handle the Assyrian population, the Assyrian triangle would be more than enough.
