It seems the taxpayer and soldier foots the real bill for oil. We pay the armies, the navies...provide all the military might it takes to secure the oil for the companies...who then profit handsomely without having to pay all the real costs of their enterprise.
It's true...no one owns the sun...so its unlimited source of clean energy wont profit anyone...not enough. If a gizmo could be made to provide a household with all it needed and then some...if some sort of vehicle could be made to do the job...the gizmo selling company would profit...once. After that...it's free sunshine from then on.
We'll have to do it eventually...just as soon as enough of us die from asthma, brown skies, poisoned wells and war.
