It's the same for anyone who experiences the same treatment at the hands of any other priest or holy man outside of the Catholic Church. Hell, how else does a pedophile get at kids but by convincing the kids that they (the adults) are authority figures of some sort or another & have the right to do as they wish to the children? & how many pedophiles threaten their victims not to tell anyone else, or else?
The Catholic Church is a big institution - no one's denying that. & in the past, the Catholic Church was once the ruling authority in Europe. However, it is no longer, &, in fact, that church sponsors quite an impressive amount of humanitarian aid projects all over the world. How many religious institutions can say the same for themselves?
Face it, pancho - the media is out for Catholic blood. The more dirt they can find on that church, the more they can destroy any humanitarian clout the Catholic Church may have.
