But, hopefully, this "war" will be stopped before it begins.

Bush et. al know their popularity will decrease by a lot. The media is another matter, though - they are more concerned about ratings than anything else, hence the attrocious hype about "war" & "terror". I wonder what would happen if there was a massive boycott, as part of the protest movement, of all things mainstream media - TV & mainstream news outlets on the web? All one needs for news coverage these days is what one can read from alternative news sources on the web, anyway. What would happen if news ratings decreased dramatically? & if the media started covering things from a pro-peace perspective, we could start resume watching the news again, increase news ratings, to sort of show support for that type of message?
