Here's my take on things:

·The US bombs Iraq to hell during 91 and imposes sanctions.

·The iraqi people revolt, and almost take the country from Saddam, but the US decides, after encouraging them to revolt, to allow Saddam to use helicopter gunships to crush the revolt.

·Over 1 million (that's 1,000,000) Iraqi children die as a result of the sanctions.

·During the war, water treatement plants are deliberately targetted.

·Over the course of 7 years, the UN weapons inspectors destroy over 95% of Iraq's "weapons of mass destruction" but leave in 1998 (they were NOT kicked out...) on the eve of a joint US/British bombing campaign.

·US special forces had infiltrated the UN crews and were actively spying on the Iraqis, taking advantage of the UN during those years.

·September 11, 2001. Immediately afterwards Bush tries to link Saddam to Al-Quaida, but to no avail.

·Resolution 1440 passed. Inspections resume in December. More iraqi weapons are destroyed, albeit very few since none remain.

·The US and Britain send 300,000 troops to the region and offer turkey over 15 billion dollars in a bribe to use their land. The US threatens other countries to support a new UN resolution authorizing war, but throughout the process says that they don't need UN approval and will attack without the UN.

·Iraq is forced to destroy it's piddly-shit Al-Samoud missles because they go 115 miles instead of 93, but the tests were done without guidance systems which weigh quite a bit.

·Bush says that he "expected Iraq would destroy those missles" as part of its trickery, while days before they said that if Iraq didn't destroy the missles, they would be in further "breach".

So, it seems to me that Iraq is damned if she does, and damned if she doesn't.

The nation is dying because they aren't allowed to have medicine or to import the equipment to fix the water treatment systems that the US bombed. The school children can't have lead pencils... "dual use"... they are about to get bombed to fucking hell but in the meantime they have to destroy every last bit of weaponry they have.

When the US goes in there it will be a genocide. We are killing in innocent populace whose army has no weapons, who has no air force, no navy, no nothing... just pride.

That's my take on things. Now, back to homework.
