Earlier today, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and Science published the first peer-reviewed studies of the genomic sequences of two SARS virus strains. Because of the tremendous public health importance of these papers, we have posted them online ahead of our normal schedule and have made them freely available to all users.

Access these articles online at the link below, and feel free to forward this link to any interested colleagues.

The studies confirm that the virus is a new variety of coronavirus and provide a first look at the molecular components of the virus. The information should help speed efforts to diagnose, treat, and prevent the global epidemic of this deadly disease.
