I really don't know about "Iraq was doing very good before the U.S. set its sites on it." but in general I think people were better off. At least there was food on the table, health care, education, and....

Iraq as well as U.S. and the rest of the world have no clue what to expect from Iraqis and the rest of the region. Another word "shit is happening as we speak".

---------------------------------------------

: Iraq was doing very well before the US set its sites on it. Those thousands of bodies being found in mass graves all over the country are easy to account for...they´re filled with the poor dumb Shiias who believed in pappy Bush´s call for a revolt the US would support...when it was a move to strengthen Saddam by eliminating, after identifying, who his potential enemies might be...old trick.

: They´re going to re-write history to claim Iraq was a poverty stricken basket case with mass violations of human rights...you know...like Amnesty says the US is guilty of...and then...when years later someone bothers to do a real analysis of Iraq before this maddness...a "Think Tank" will call it "revisionist" thinking...go figure.
