***There is something to be said for being persecuted...I mean REALLY persecuted...like the Jews were for centuries. Those who insist on remaining Jews, with all of its manifest liabilities, have to really mean it...really want to be Jews!
***In our case...what`s the big deal? All we ever wanted to be was Christians and there was someplace to run to, lots of places... where you could be a Christian all you wanted to...set up shop on any street corner and be "saved". Not so for Jews. There never was a safe place to be a Jew.
***Left to themselves, with no one persecuting or chasing and killing them, maybe more Jews would have lost interest in being Jews...like Christians have. We were left to ourselves...and nowhere on earth have we bothered to be Assyrians. Pass the Cross.
