In the beginning. Those dandgly things are called
butterflies, made of two pieces of wood at right angles. like a cross,
nound with wire and hanging from one end. They act as supports when you
add the clay to the armature. Clever idea that. Clay is wet and very
heavey...it pulls away if you've got too much of it hanging around. The
butterflies get buried in there and hold up their surroundings.

I've put off doing Che long enough. I'm in my Latin phase...that's where
I ruin all sorts of Latin subjects by distorting them, getting them wrong,
putting my face on them and just to cap my infamy...demanding money for
them.

That's my living room in the background...a poster of Ashurbanipal on the
wall.
