I suppose that the reason why so much effort must go into the planning of child care facilities, is that it's an excellent thing to provide for working, esp. single, mothers. It would be sad to see a great thing like this, which would give so many mothers (& fathers) a break for once, be shut down/taken away because of incidences of molestation at the hands of workers. So, there absolutely HAS GOT to be a lot of caution, thought, & attention put into something like this - child care workers have to be chosen carefully, with the highest standards.
As for babysitters in general, some are good, some are bad. I've known of otherwise good parents who are completely oblivious to the way that their children are being treated by people they hire privately to take care of their children. It's so sad, you know - parents need to pay very careful attention to the individuals they allow around their children, whether it's a religious figure, teacher, babysitter, family friend, or even a member within their family.
