This is not meant to be a comment on anything you guys are arguing about, just something funny. According to my PI (mentor), a governor of Texas was arguing once that he didn't see the need for children in his state's schools to have to learn another language besides English (in particular, Spanish), & said something along the lines of, "If English was good enough for Jesus, then it's good enough for the schoolchildren of Texas."
