Take any child and raise it in a home and community where any religion is practised, and if that child is a "good" and obedient child, it will pick up the religion taught to it. This is no different than all the "Converting" you all say the Muslims did, and they say you did, and he says she did and they say they did.

When you implant these ideas into a kids mind, you are committing, not exactly an act of violence, though that occurs as well...but you are taking advantage of a helpless being.

Why wouldn't a child become devoted to what the parents who give it life and food and shelter and toys and hugs and kisses ask it to believe? With all the powers and tools available to a parent or teacher or government, all the means of subtle and outright coersion...wy would it be surprising that the child grows up fiercely partisan? Especially if the kid is convinced that the continued health and well being of itself, its family, its OWN children as well as the entire nation depends on believing in the god it was told to, or the national myths?

Give me a Christian child, and I'll raise it Muslim or Jew for you. I'll make it a Buddhist or Atheist or Confucian. Where's the mystery? Give me an Italian child and I'll raise it Assyrian....give me an Assyrian child and I'll raise it Egyptian or American. Come to think of it, we ARE taking Assyrian children and raising them American...as the Iraqis have been taking Assyrian children and raising them Iraqi.

You have to become a born again Assyrian.
