That was sweet.

It''s amazing when you stop to think about it...it's amazing when ANY Assyrian stops to think....that we are now living in the most advanced countries round the world, and the wealthiest and most free.

You'd almost think we'd been sent out into the world deliberately...part of a "plan" of some sort. What are we here, and there, and over there, for? What COULD we be in all of these places for?

It can't just be in order to increase the population of those countries...to park our butts there and blend into the woodwork. Certainly we had to gain a foothold, we had to learn their languages and customs well enough. But then what?

Maybe there was no plan, no grand design...who knows. But since we are in all these countries...could we in some way take advantage of the opportunity we've had to go out and see and learn and increase our economic base...could we bring back to Assyria...to the people of our ancient homelands, some of the tools and means and resources and educated ex pats who might be able to revive and secure this Heritage in the lands that gave it its birth?

Just a thought.
