What's so odd? people who suffer violence, will learn to apply it when it's their chance...what do Peter and the boys revel in besides the murder of Kurdish grandfathers? They don't mean any harm by it...just want revenge is all. Where do these things really start, and who is willing to stop the cycle?
In Seattle long ago I witnessed a distracted mother slap her child hard because he'd slapped his elder brother. One kid was six the other a couple of years older, and the mother MUCH older.
"How many times I told you not to hit"? She yelled in the grocery store...as she hit the younger child. There's geo-politics right there for you.
