I don't know what the exact objectives are. If David or the Doc could find someone who needs help...something minor (like Fred said in a different post), we could make that our first case. After helping a few people, we could gradually increase the scope of our projects. I would say that it should be strictly limited to medical help... but it's not up to me.
Melody, If you were in charge... (nobody's "really" in charge, it's not going to be a dictatorship), what would you want the exact objectives to be?
Anybody else have any ideas/opinions?

Should the objectives need to be spelled out exactly? I wasn't sure in what situations the organization would be providing relief.

Mission Statement:
The Humanitarian Relief Fund (or) Homeland Solidarity Fund (or) Birthright Charitable Fund (or) Children's Fund (or)...??? is an organization committed to the relief of the Assyrian community in its homeland, and abroad. Our services are available on a nonsectarian basis, to anyone regardless of race, gender, or religious affiliation.
We are seeking like-minded individuals who want to help the Assyrian community. We do not discriminate in any way, shape, or form, and we welcome you to join us. Our common goal is to help our greater community in every way that we can, together as one united group.
How you can help:
Please donate $10 a year to the fund as an initial pledge of support. We will accept no more, and no less. Once we have raised $200, we will help someone and report the progress on our web page.
For every donation we receive, we will approach companies, other non profit organizations, and/or individuals for matching funds.
What we will do:
We will disclose on the web site an exact number of donors, along with annotated bank statements that will show exactly where the funds are going. We will also provide pictures and information about who we are helping.
