xxx & eventual control of Europe, possibly. I honestly think the US gov't is in it for the resources. To corporations, land is only valuable for what you can strip from it, & people can be moved or exterminated - & sometimes the people are simultaneously a resource & a way to keep control of the resources (e.g. tyrants who suppress those who dislike what is done to them/their land/resources & who also make conditions right for the ones w/ the brains or education to fight back to leave & seek employment elsewhere - usually the US - "brain drain").
